Part 2 Empowering Sustainable Practices: Webinar Series on Aquaponics, Aquaculture, and Hydroponics

In today’s world, finding better ways to grow food sustainably is crucial. As we face challenges like climate change and food shortages, using advanced technologies in farming is becoming increasingly important. Innovative, climate-smart, and water-saving technologies like hydroponics, bioponics, and aquaponics (integrating recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) with hydroponics) offer significant potential for application in both rural and urban settings.

Following the success of our Spring series, we are excited to bring you the Autumn Term 2024 of our engaging “Webinar Series on Aquaponics, Aquaculture, and Hydroponics”. These sessions will focus on these three innovative farming methods that don’t always require soil to grow plants.

This series is organised in collaboration with leading projects like FrontAg Nexus, DOLORES, and InCiTiS-FOOD, with the support of the European Engineering Learning Innovation and Science Alliance (EELISA). Together with top agricultural research institutions, we aim to bring you the latest insights and techniques in modern agriculture.

The webinar series, “Part 2” will commence on August 22, 2024, and will be held every second Thursday at 9:00 CET (10:00 Jordan time).

These webinars will provide essential theoretical knowledge for future operators and owners of aquaponic and bioponic systems, with a special focus on applications in arid regions.
